ABOUT ME

I do not think there is ever a typical day as a sales associate. I try to start my day with a gospel song I grew up on, “Jesus is Love” by the Commodores. On any given day, I can have a buyer or seller who needs to relocate to an executive (luxury) home and have a military status, which provides them additional benefits when purchasing a home or selling a home.

I have a marketing and public relations background. I owned an invitation and gift boutique, Blessed Creations, on North Dale Mabry for about nine years. My husband, Donnie, and I previously owned two Zaxby’s, including Tampa’s first location.

MY LOCAL KNOWLEDGE

My go-to spots to play tennis are in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, but my main club is Innisbrook. I love Innisbrook and all the amenities that come along with being a tennis member. You can use the gym, walk on the trail, and of course, golf. But if you find me there without a tennis racquet in my hand, I am probably at the spa with a great view of the Copperhead course.

I love to spend my outdoor time at St. Pete Pier. If I am playing tennis at the Vinoy, chances are I will get there early to take a walk along the trail. I enjoy the water, and I love to people watch. The best thing is seeing people out with their dogs and how they interact or seeing someone just reading a book on a blanket, just enjoying living in the Sunshine State.

I love Tampa, but my absolute favorite place to eat at is M.A.D.E. in Sarasota. I can literally eat everything on their menu. It is on the bottom floor of a business building. If you are not told about it, you would definitely miss it. It is a truly rare find.

I love being at my house! I love to be outside, and we specifically added a courtyard to our backyard. We have a pond behind our home, and I can just sit outside and read or watch a movie all day, and hopefully, hubby is cooking on the grill. Most of the time, our out-of-town guests come to hang out at our house specifically. My husband grills and I have a few specialty dishes. We have card parties and just enjoy. But if we go out, I enjoy the Riverwalk in Downtown Tampa.

My future daughter-in-law got us hooked on the food truck Slap Yo Mama. I love their wings, the Philly egg rolls, and please don’t miss out on the lobster fries. For fine dining, I have to go with Ocean Prime or Fleming’s. Jorge Diaz is the operating partner at Fleming’s, and he is a former teammate of Donnie’s. Donnie is a former Pro Bowl cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and we love to support our teammates.

Starbucks is my go-to for coffee and tea. I love the white chocolate mocha and the toasted white chocolate mocha during the holidays. They’re just so heavenly.

For fine dining, I have to go with Ocean Prime or Fleming’s.

I have enjoyed experiencing the local culture at the Deuces Live District in St. Pete. I am looking forward to Jazz Fest coming back. I also am also looking forward to seeing Hamilton in Tampa this fall; I thoroughly enjoyed it in Chicago.
