October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Tampa Bay is painting the town pink all month long.
Donuts for a Cause

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Salty, which recently opened their first Tampa location, will be offering a specialty donut from October 2-29. The Whipped Strawberry Donut ($4.50) is made with strawberry-infused 24-hour brioche, filled with strawberry mousse, tossed in strawberry sugar and topped with a fondant ribbon. Throughout the month, 25% of the proceeds from each Whipped Strawberry donut sold will be donated to The Breasties, the first all-inclusive nonprofit organization supporting survivors, previvors, thrivers and caregivers impacted by breast and gynecologic cancers. The Salty will also be partnering with the organization to deliver donuts to local breast cancer centers in each market.

Blossoms of Hope Flower Workshop

In partnership with local company The Roaming Petal and in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the property is inviting guests and locals alike to join them on Saturday, October 21 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for a special workshop that aims to raise awareness about breast cancer while fostering creativity and spreading positivity through the art of floral design (tickets $75 per person). Together, guests can create stunning arrangements that symbolize hope, strength and support for those affected by breast cancer. A portion of proceeds will go back to the Moffitt Cancer Center located in Tampa.
