Local Dancer Makes Halftime Proposal
Tampa locals Victor Dimaren, 30, and Emma Eldridge, 27, got engaged in front of an estimated 136 million viewers during the Super Bowl LX halftime show. Dimaren, who has performed in both The Weeknd’s and Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl appearances, took center stage during Bad Bunny’s 2026 performance, where the proposal appeared on-screen. Though he recently moved to Los Angeles, Dimaren grew up in Tampa and spent years in the local breakdancing scene.

Big Changes Coming to International Plaza
Simon Property Group, which acquired Tampa’s International Plaza, plans to invest $250 million to enhance three of its U.S. shopping centers — including the Westshore-area mall at 2223 N. Westshore Blvd. Plans for the project include a 50,000-square-foot exterior expansion, a reimagined Bay Street dining district and upgraded amenities throughout the mall.

Tampa Pizzeria Named Best Women-Owned Pizza Shop in America
Florish, a plant-based pizzeria at 2307 S. Dale Mabry Hwy, was named the “highest-rated women-owned pizza place in America” by OnDeck. The study analyzed 12,000 women-owned businesses and also ranked Florish No. 2 among all women-owned restaurants nationwide, with a 4.93-star Yelp rating—the only pizza shop above 4.9. Owned by Jill and Keith Sedita, Florish is closing its Dale Mabry location with plans to move to a larger location to accommodate growth.
