Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally through constructing and preserving homes, advocating for fair and just housing policies, and providing training and access to resources to help families improve their housing conditions.

Habitat Hillsborough also serves veterans year-round through its Veterans Build Initiative to raise awareness to the housing needs of low-income military veterans, expand outreach and service to military connected families through events like Veterans Build Week of Service and Remember Everyone Deployed (RED) Day, and engage veterans through employment and a platform of peer support through community service.

Veterans Build Week of Service

Provide military veterans assistance with home preservation, critical repairs and/or accessibility projects. From painting and landscaping a home, building a ramp or replacing a roof, these services allow military veterans to continue to live safely and independently in their homes. Financial donations help cover construction materials.
