With demand for both psychiatric services and telemedicine at an all-time high, Dr. Terry Wilkins has responded by moving his practice totally online. Patients have greater access to care, and they can be seen in a space that is comfortable for them. “With telemedicine appointments, you can really focus on the patient, and my prediction is that it is a treatment platform which is here to stay,” Dr. Wilkins says. “It’s very effective.”

Dr. Wilkins spent the majority of his career serving United States veterans through the VA system before moving to private practice. He specializes in treating people who have experienced severe trauma or injury to the self, and he also treats mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, substance abuse and psychotic disorders, all with a warm, empathetic and gentle approach that focuses on treating the whole patient.

“I place a great deal of emphasis on the power of the relationship in the healing process,” Dr. Wilkins says. “And my patients generally get better.”
