This upcoming fall, we anticipate an abundance of pumpkins, corn mazes, haunted events, and more! Many fall-themed events and celebrations are right at our doorstep this year. From exploring haunted carnivals and boats to celebrating Oktoberfest in St. Petersburg. Whether you want to paint pumpkins, snack on some tasty fall treats or find your way out of a corn maze, you’re in the perfect spot to commemorate this year’s fall right here in Tampa Bay.

Bearrs Groves Pumpkin

See the Largest Pumpkin In Florida
Wednesday-Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m
Visit Bearrs Groves this October to lay your eyes on a massive, 1,500-pound gourd! The pumpkin, which was grown in Michigan, is the heaviest pumpkin to ever make its way to the Tampa-based farm. Visiting the pumpkin for perfectly-fall photo-ops is free.

While there, explore the 100-year-old Bearss Groves, which offers farm-fresh produce, plants and herbs. Pets are also welcome.

The Heights District Fall Festival

The Heights District’s 6th Annual Fall Festival  
October 14-15 and 21-22
Armature Works is hosting what appears to be one of the most picturesque and family-friendly fall events this year! In October, explore the riverfront pumpkin patch while snacking on delicious fall treats. Groove to live music performances and capture memories at the festive photo booths or petting zoo. Mark your calendars; it’s expected to be a blast.

Corky’s Corn Maze at Keel Farm 
Every Saturday and Sunday in October
Keel Farm is the place to be for autumn fun. Starting in October, you’ll have full access to their four-acre maze to enjoy hidden clues, hayrides and try many of their hand-crafted wines and ciders. Corky’s will feature a variety of food trucks, which change every weekend. Some of the trucks attending include Top Dog and La Santa Maria, among others. Run around with the roosters and indulge in fun games like cornhole for some friendly competition. Overall, it promises to be an unbeatable, fall-filled day trip with family and friends.

Boos & Booze Brunch
October 28 and 29
Enjoy all items on the Welcome Back Pumpkin menu like the Pumpkin Spice Old Fashioned,  Pumpkin  Lobster Ravioli and Pumpkin Mocha Martini, while listening to a live DJ play Halloween themed music. Don’t forget to enter the costume contest for a chance to win a $250 gift card.

Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest: Pinellas County 
September 29 – 30 and October 6-7
This year’s Oktoberfest, hosted by the German American Friendship Society of Pinellas County, is sure to be a blast in a glass. Open on the weekends of September 29th and 30th, as well as October 6th and 7th, Oktoberfest offers imported German and domestic beer, German cuisine and traditional and modern music. Don’t miss the keg-tapping ceremony, which is sure to be a spectacle, and be sure to explore the many local vendors on site.

Reach Annual Fall Festival

3 Daughters Brewing: Reach Annual Fall Festival
October 21
This October 21st, the 6th Annual Fall Festival Fundraiser will commence to support Reach’s mission of preventing homelessness, aiding low-income individuals, and addressing at-risk situations in Pinellas County. Reach is a nonprofit organization working to “bridge the gap between people and the resources they need.” Enjoy painting pumpkins, perusing the open market, live music, food trucks, face painting and more! All the proceeds from the event will support Reach’s Pop-Up Pantry to feed those in need – a fun way to lend a helping hand.

Pied Pipers Haunted Carnival 
October 26 – 29
Armature Works is hosting another spooky event with Pied Pipers Productions. From scary carnival rides to costume contests, this haunted carnival promises both fear and fun! Dance to renowned DJs and sign up to win 10K with your incredible costume. Savor yummy fair food like cotton candy, caramel apples and more. Start planning your costume now! UNDead in the Water
Select Nights from September 22 – October 22
Have you ever wondered what may lurk on a boat built during WWll? Now you can find out but only if you dare, with the American Victory Ship transformed into a haunted event on water. On select nights from September 22 to October 22, navigate your way through multiple decks aboard the boat, but only if you can escape! Listen to the ship’s eerie take, uncover its unearthly secrets and experience a spine-tingling revelation of The Gathering while experiencing The Breach: UNDead in the Water. How much will it take to uncover its true secrets?

Enchanted Pumpkin Patch at Hyde Park
September 30 – October 26
This autumn, The Pumpkin Patch at Hyde Park Village returns with two enchanted pumpkin carriages. The property’s Village Circle will transform into a pumpkin-filled wonderland. Every Thursday will feature “Storytime in the Patch with Mother Boo” and select dates will host “Adoptable Puppies from The Humane Society of Tampa Bay.” More than just a place for beautiful family photos, Hyde Park Village’s pumpkin patch impacts the lives of animals in distress, serving as a platform for supporting The Humane Society of Tampa Bay.

Annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest
October 23
Sparkman Wharf will host its annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest on October 23. Registration will begin at 6 p.m. at The Modern Paws and the contest will kick off at 7 p.m. at the stage area. The competition features three categories to win: viewer’s choice, best duo and best costume.

5th Annual Haunted Wharf
October 27 – 28
Sparkman Wharf is celebrating its 5th annual Haunted Wharf with two FREE nights of entertainment from 5:30 – 10:00 p.m. on October 27-28. This family-friendly event will serve as the best backdrop in town, having transformed overnight into a haunted pirate shipwreck with silly spooks for the kids and scary fun for the adults as the evening progresses.

Movie on the Lawn viewing of Ghostbusters
October 31
On Halloween, gather at Sparkman Wharf for a spooky movie on the lawn.The first 50 people to arrive will receive a complimentary treat from Hampton Chocolate Factory.
