More Food & Beverage Concepts Headed to Water Street
Construction began on several restaurants in Tampa’s bustling waterfront development. Among those are French bistro Boulon Brasserie, Mediterranean restaurant Predalina, seafood restaurant The Pearl and Italian-inspired Ash (pictured). Ash was newly announced by Proper House Group, the minds behind Rooster & The Till and other popular Tampa eateries. More additions are Wagamama, Wine on Water, Small Giant Bar and 3 Corners Pizza. Tampa’s Chill Bros. ice cream also recently opened its fourth Tampa location.
Fatburger! Returns to Tampa bay
Fatburger returns to Tampa Bay with four locations coming by 2025, bringing with it Hollywood’s popular burger, in addition to its sister brand, Buffalo Express, specializing in wings. Fatburger has been grilling burgers since 1952 and first came to the Bay area in the early 2000s. The first location back is expected next year in Riverview.
R&B legend Alicia Keys Brings World Tour to Hard Rock
In support of her seventh and eighth studio albums, 14-time Grammy award-winning Alicia Keys will perform Sept. 18 at Tampa’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. This tour marks Keys’ highly anticipated stage return since her last Set the World On Fire Tour in 2013.
St. Pete Residential Towers Taking Shape
In Downtown St. Petersburg, construction is rolling along on 24-story apartment building Evo, 20-story apartment building Modera and 18-story condo tower Reflection. 35-story condo tower Saltaire is also being constructed, along with Ascent St Petersburg, which will contain rental units, an AC Hotel and a Cuban-style restaurant and bar. Renderings for the futuristic 400 Central Ave., slated for a 2025 opening, show 46 floors housing 301 condos, ground floor retail space and an extravagant sky lounge.
Historic Downtown Tampa Hotel to Rebrand, Undergo $25M Makeover
Constructed in 1926, the Iconic Floridan Hotel is set to join the Tapestry Collection by Hilton. As part of the rebrand, the historic Downtown Tampa building, all its guest rooms and meeting space will undergo a $25-million renovation and will be positioned as one of Downtown’s most upscale hotels.
St. Pete Pier Granted Prestigious Award
The award from the Urban Land Institute recognizes superior development efforts. The Pier is one of 10 winners selected among 68 projects by a jury of experts. Recognized in the Urban Open Space category, The Pier is now a finalist for the 2022 ULI Global Awards for Excellence, competing against European and Asian projects.
Mediterranean Fast-Casual Cava Planned for Tampa & St. Pete
