For over 36 years, Dr. Geoffrey M. Kwitko has provided world-class cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery to patients throughout Tampa Bay and beyond. A top ophthalmologist, he specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery, thyroid eye disease and treatment of orbital and eyelid cancers.
A native of Canada, Dr. Kwitko completed his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Western Ontario, followed by an internship at McGill University in Montreal. He then trained in ophthalmology at Wayne State University’s Kresge Eye Institute, where he also completed a fellowship in oculoplastic, orbital, lacrimal and neuro-ophthalmology.
His first job was a paper route at age 11, which taught him the importance of being on time. Inspired by his father, the late Dr. Marvin Kwitko, and mentors Dr. Thomas Spoor and Dr. Frank Nesi, he learned lessons in hard work, preparation, knowledge, kindness and enjoying life.
Outside the operating room, Dr. Kwitko is a competitive skier and ice hockey player who still hits the ice at 66.
