This year, Fat Tuesday falls in mid-February, but the festivities start as early as January 6 for nearly a month of non-stop partying, costumed revelry and parades across New Orleans. Whatever bit of Mardi Gras you manage to hit, it’s guaranteed to be a very good time.

Insider Tip: With just 67 rooms, Maison de la Luz is a favorite with A-listers for its Beaux Arts boutique vibes and stylish Warehouse District setting, close to some of the city’s hottest cocktail lounges and galleries.

Rockstars of the culinary world descend on Florida’s most vibey beach for cooking demos, global tastings and red carpet reveals. Tickets cover all food and drinks, and the people-watching is priceless.

Insider Tip: Loews Miami Beach is the festival’s official headquarters, but we recommend staying just north of the fray at Faena. While there, don’t miss the regular three-course Sunday Asados, featuring meat and seafood grilled alfresco in the tradition of Argentina’s gauchos.
