Soaring two-story ceilings set the stage for this vibrant great room, where ocean-blue Taylor King sofas flank a stone fireplace and showcase the client’s Peter Max art. A Monte Carlo coral reef–inspired rug anchors the seating, while mercury glass lighting, bold pillows and layered textures bring warmth, color and effortless entertaining style.

When designing this four-bedroom, 4½-bath Clearwater home, Suzanne Christie of Decorating Den Interiors drew inspiration from coastal hues accented with touches of gold. Natural light pours into the great room, illuminating a stone wall cutout that reveals a 36-light mercury glass fixture suspended in the stairwell. Ocean-blue chenille tufted sofas flank the fireplace, while lime green and teal pillows echo the waterfront setting.

Positioned as a showpiece, an inherited baby grand greets guests with instant impact, its open curve facing the room. Ocean-inspired hues set the tone, from the Currey & Company cerulean triple-tier glass chandelier above to the aqua handblown lamp below. A vibrant teal and lime round rug from Surya and embroidered drapery from Carole Fabrics soften the light-filled space, creating a true “wow” moment at the entry.

The two-story ceiling enhances the open floor plan, leading the eye to a baby-grand piano positioned beside bronzed-metal and white faux-fur chairs. Overhead, a 43-inch, triple-tiered glass-and-metal chandelier in clear and cerulean blue anchors the space.

In the kitchen, crisp white cabinetry contrasts with a bold black island topped in taupe-veined quartz, accented by warm gold hardware and brass globe Elk pendants, while rounded stools invite gathering. In the dining room, a Universal wirebrushed flint table with brass legs sits beneath a glowing Uttermost gold mesh chandelier, blending function with effortless elegance.

The adjacent kitchen remains light and understated so as not to compete with the surrounding great room, media room, foyer and piano area. Classic white cabinetry with gold hardware pairs with black countertops. The island offers contrast with black cabinetry and a taupe quartz countertop.

A feminine garden-inspired guest room features a York floral mural, upholstered queen bed, green and pink bedding from Eastern Accents, mirrored nightstands from Butler, and soft embroidered sheers.

Each guest room carries a distinct theme. The garden-retreat guest room features French doors that open to a private balcony. A shelter-style queen upholstered bed with sandy-blonde wood trim, dressed in a grass-green duvet, rests against a whimsical floral mural. Peony-pink lamps add warmth and highlight the artwork. Across the room, a pink chair and small white chest provide additional seating, while white and taupe embroidered sheers hang from satin-gold rods.

This nautical-inspired guest room includes rope-textured bedding, whimsical navy chests and rattan chairs showcasing the water view.

Another guest room embraces a nautical aesthetic in navy, taupe and white. A bed in a coastal driftwood finish is paired with white and navy chests featuring fish-drawer fronts as nightstands. Knotted-rope lamps and rattan chairs with maritime-inspired cushions complete the look.

This “Sophisti-glam” primary suite layers gold, cream and blush for a look that’s equal parts luxe and livable. A textured upholstered bed, mirrored chests and crystal chandeliers shimmer against diamond-patterned taupe-and-gold wall covering, while plush rugs, faux fur accents and soft gold mist drapery create warmth and serenity.

The primary suite evokes comfortable sophistication with layered lighting throughout. Crystal tiered chandeliers above the nightstands provide ambient glow and subtle glamour. Diamond-patterned taupe-and-gold wallcovering defines the bed wall, complemented by a gold-metal and faux-alpaca bench at its foot. A soft blush and neutral area rug adds warmth, while blackout shades and gold-mist sheers on antique-brass rods frame water views and sunsets — a serene retreat reflecting the home’s coastal elegance.
