Kate Williams, ARNP-C
Q: As someone who works in medical aesthetics, you know beauty. Where do you go in Tampa to feel more beautiful?
A: Louis Sauchelli at Primp Salon keeps me from looking 94 years old. I have so much gray hair!
Q: What is your favorite place for a great lunch on a workday?
A: I live in Dade City, but I’m so happy I work in South Tampa because I love great food, and we are so lucky to have so many choices. I like to go to Pane Rustica, and the acorn squash with chicken salad is my favorite.
Q: Where do you head for dinner and drinks after work?
A: I love the caipirinha drink at Bartaco with a couple of tacos and the cucumber salad after work.
Q: What is your favorite place for a night out with the girls?
A: We go to Clooney’s Wine Bar at Cheese Please for a glass of wine and The Facts of Life or Three Kings grilled cheese sandwiches.
Q: Where do you go for weekend brunch, and what’s your go-to order?
A: My daughter loves everything Japanese, so we go to Ichicoro Ramen on the weekends, especially after Tampa Bay Comic Con, which is coming up. I love the mushroom ramen, and my daughter loves the Japanese soda that you have to push the marble down to open.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Tampa, and what do you always make sure to order there?
A: I love the short rib at On Swann, and I like the surprises at Rooster & the Till. The chef’s tasting menus are great because I can just sit and relax and try something I would have never ordered myself.
Q: Where do you like spending time outdoors in Tampa during the summer?
A: My husband and I love to ride bikes on the Riverwalk and then eat lunch at Armature Works or the Columbia Café. Renting the EBoats from the Tampa Convention Center is fun, and we dock at Ulele for a snack at the outside bar. We like to go to The Getaway and paddleboard, and I’m excited to take kayaks out from the boat launch at the new Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park.
Q: What are some of your favorite events around Tampa?
A: We always go to the Gasparilla Music Festival. It’s a great event. We’ll take the kids one day and the other day my husband and I go with friends. We’re also excited to see Iron & Wine at Tampa Theatre; we love to see movies there as well. Concerts at the amphitheatre are great when the weather is nice, and we see lots of shows at the Straz Center.
