Lauren Gonzmart Schellman is a Tampa native and USF graduate is a fifth generation member of the family-owned and operated Columbia Restaurant, the world’s largest Spanish restaurant. She balances roles as an executive vice president of the Columbia Restaurant Group, loving wife to a successful entrepreneur and mother to four grade schoolers.
Philanthropic Efforts
Lauren is a board member of the American Cancer Society Volunteer Leadership Board, an auxiliary member of Mary Martha House and prominent supporter of Catholic education initiatives.
What do you like to do for fun when not in the office?
I love to exercise and I am always experimenting with new regiments. I am a Pure Barre veteran, a tennis amateur and an aerial silks newbie.

Elegance is the only beauty that never fades.

My grandmother, Adela Gonzmart
What is your dream vacation?
Although I have traveled extensively, Bora Bora remains at the top of my list of exotic excursions.
If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
Casimiro Hernandez, Jr. He is the second-generation owner of the Columbia Restaurant and creator of some of its most famous recipes.

All of our local beaches make me happy.
