My Ride: Ryan McGuinness

“My dad was a car guy, and I followed him around and just started acquiring cars,” says Ryan McGuinness. McGuinness, the founder of RPM Realty Investments, is vague about how many cars he owns. “Probably around 35 classics,” he says, but one of his favorites is a 1947 Lincoln Convertible. “It’s 77 years old, and only about 700 were ever built, so you just don’t see these around,” he adds.

He has two warehouses east of Ybor where he keeps everything from a 600+ horsepower Radical race car to vintage Alfas and Fiats, mixed in with a Porsche Turbo, a Shelby Daytona Coupe and a McLaren supercar. “There are no ‘garage queens,’” he says. “I drive them all.”

Does he have a daily driver? “I have two, depending on my needs: a Rolls-Royce Cullinan sport-ute and a Lamborghini Huracan.” An investor in the Motor Enclave, he has a unit on this private race track that he’s building into a luxury garage/home so he can play with his cars. His RPM Realty Investments is a private lender, and McGuinness invests in Tampa businesses (Ford’s Garage and Meat Market Steakhouse) because he “wants to keep the money in Tampa.”

Ryan McGuinness clearly redefines the term “car guy”!
