Steven Gianfilippo is the founder of Gianco Companies, a boutique investment firm with holdings across real estate, membership clubs, technology and venture capital. As co-founder and CEO of DigitalDOMI.com, his latest tech venture, he focuses on transforming how society manages physical mail through a secure, fully digital “paid postage” ecosystem that reduces waste and promotes environmental responsibility.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, and long after his first job mowing lawns and washing cars for his uncle, Gianfilippo spent seven years at Citigroup, three and a half of which were in Tokyo. There, he helped establish two investment bank service companies and a $300 million distressed asset business. The experience instilled in him discipline, global perspective and a drive for independence that led him to launch Gianco Companies two decades ago.
