American Victory Ship and Museum, 705 Channelside Drive, Tampa
This zombie-themed haunted house is staged on the American Victory Ship, a WWII ship on the dock of the Channel in the Channelside District. In this interactive experience, guides will lead groups through the ship in order to “survive” the zombies. For safety reasons, costumes and masks are not permitted. See site for ticket prices.

Forget Christmas lights. This light show will give you the haunted house experience you’ve always dreamed of. This haunted mansion offers many interactive yards and special effects to enhance the immersive experience. The event is free, but they are accepting donations for Clothes to Kids.
Halloween GlowBall Golf Tournament

Take a haunted cruise along the Hillsborough River on a Halloween-themed Pirate Water Taxi. Your docent will tell Tampa-themed ghost stories, and passengers will receive a “spooky treat.” Beer, wine and bottled water will be sold on board the ship.
Tall Tales of Old Florida
Cracker Country, 4800 N. U.S. Hwy. 301
Let Cracker Country’s storytellers regale you with six Florida tall tales, featuring all kinds of Sunshine State creatures — skunk apes, misbehaving trains, cow-hunting giants and more. Keeping with the living museum’s old-time themes, visitors will also see a magic lantern show, the precursor to the modern film. Though the event is described as family friendly, Cracker Country recommends only children 6 and up attend.

Silver Meteor Gallery, 2213 E. 6th Ave., Tampa
Drawing on literature’s spooky history, this tour details Tampa history with some chilling twists. Rooms throughout the theater feature four short plays written by Tampa Bay writers C. A. Bellamy, Josh Darling, Deborah Frethem and Erika Lance. Tours are limited to 20 people each.
7th Annual Fantasma Fest | Legend of the Pumpkin King Parade

Get dressed in your best costumes to march down 7th Avenue with the Pumpkin King. This event is free.
Riverwalk Trick or Treat
Come trick or treat at the Tampa Riverwalk! Local businesses and organizations will be handing out candy and treats to children in costumes. At the end of the event, grab your popcorn –or new candy– for a family-friendly Halloween movie in Water Works park. The event is free.
7th Annual Fantasma Fest | Little Monsters Pumpkin Patch

This family-friendly event offers face painting, over 2,000 free pumpkins for decorating and candy for trick-or-treaters. Don’t leave early because you’ll miss the Big Monster’s Bed Race. Participants will race down 7th Avenue on beds on wheels. This event is free.
