Whether it’s baking a pie or carving a jack-o-lantern, pumpkins play a central role in almost all fall festivities. Grab your camera and your family and friends and head out to these Tampa Bay pumpkin patches to find your perfect pumpkin.

Hyde Park Village Pumpkin Patch
Oct. 4-26 while supplies last

Nestled in charming Hyde Park Village, this patch may be small, but it has a wide variety of pumpkin sizes and a lot of opportunities for pictures.

Gallagher’s Pumpkins & Christmas Trees
Through Oct. 31 daily, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

Family owned and operated for over 30 years, Gallagher’s has become the quintessential social media spot with plenty of photo opportunities set up. If you hire a photographer, be sure to make a reservation on its website.

The Heights District Pumpkin Patch
Oct. 15-16 & 22-23, noon-5 p.m.

As part of the 5th annual Heights District Fall Festival, check out the pumpkin patch, petting zoo, face painters, vendors and activities for the whole family and live music. A food drive will benefit Metropolitan Ministries.

The Seminole Heights Great Pumpkin Patch
Oct. 8-30: Wednesdays-Fridays, 3-8 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sundays 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

This patch claims to feature the largest collection and varieties of pumpkins in Tampa, presented by the Hampton Terrace Community Association and Seminole Heights United Methodist Church.

Pasadena Community Church Youth Pumpkin Patch
Oct. 5-31: Mondays-Fridays, 2-7 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

You’ll find a variety of pumpkins and a diverse range of winter squashes and gourds here. It’s located on the Pasadena Community Church Campus in the picnic area on 2nd Avenue by the Sanctuary and Chapel. All proceeds support Pasadena Youth Ministries.

The Pumpkin Patch at Clearview
Oct. 8-31: Weekdays, 3-8 p.m.; Saturdays, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sundays, noon-8 p.m.

For over 20 years, this patch has been selling pumpkins to help raise money for Clearview United Methodist Church’s local missions. Pumpkins are grown on a pumpkin farm on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Farmington, New Mexico, employing Native Americans.

Pumpkin Patch at St. Paul Catholic Church
Oct. 1-31: Mondays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sundays, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

Wander through the multitudes of pallets of pumpkins on the church’s lawn. Proceeds benefit the church’s High School Youth Group.
