Scott Lee met artist Gregory Siff at his New York City art show in 2018 and the two became fast friends. When Lee first saw Siff’s piece “How Do You Tell A Girl She’s Beautiful,” he purchased it on the spot before its public debut at CASS Contemporary and later the Tampa Museum of Art.
“It represents the city where we are from, so many memories and personal stories with each image, which is what makes his work so neat,” Lee says. “Everyone can create their own story and interpretation and feel their own connection, which is what Gregory wants -their own true evidence of life is what he calls it.”
In terms of Siff’s style, this piece is rather unique in that instead of sticking to black and white, it uses lots of colors and mediums. There are 30 paintings on one large, hand-stretched canvas.
