Our Process
In July 2026, we mailed surveys to the over 2,500 dentists who currently practice in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco Counties. We obtained this list from the Florida Department of Health in July 2026.
We asked the dentists to nominate the peers they believe to be the best in 10 different specialties, then return the surveys in anonymous prepaid return envelopes or online using their randomly assigned, unique survey number. The online surveys require the unique survey number, and each survey number can be used only once. We then tally the votes from the mail-in and online surveys to compile this list.
