In Tampa Bay, life after the final whistle looks different, but no less driven. Former professional athletes are redefining success, trading packed stadiums for present family life while channeling their discipline into business, philanthropy and community. Couples like Kyle and Jordan Rudolph and Denard and Anne Span show that the same focus that fueled their careers now shapes their homes, proving that in this city, the next chapter is just as intentional as the first.
Denard and Anne Span
For Denard and Anne Span, life after professional sports has not slowed; it has simply shifted. Now rooted in Tampa, the couple has traded travel schedules for family rhythms, building a life centered on purpose, presence and community.
Denard, a retired Major League Baseball player, remains close to the game as a broadcast analyst while leading the Denard Span Foundation, which supports single-parent families. “Continuing in the game has allowed me to stay connected to what I love while creating the flexibility to prioritize my family,” he says.
Anne, a former Olympic hockey player, now channels that same discipline into raising their three children and speaking at youth and faith-based events. “The same discipline is still there, but now it’s redirected toward building a strong, loving foundation for our family,” she says.
Together, they approach this chapter as a team: grounded in faith, committed to service and intentional about family. They’ve found the perfect place to redefine what winning looks like and love ending their day with a sweet treat from Chill Bros. ice cream, followed by a family movie night.

Kyle and Jordan Rudolph
Kyle and Jordan Rudolph have built a life defined by impact, intention and shared momentum.
Kyle, co-founder and co-CEO of Alltroo, spent 12 years in the NFL before turning his focus to philanthropy at scale. His platform connects fans with celebrities across sports and entertainment, raising significant funds for meaningful causes. Locally, his work extends to partnerships with organizations like St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, where he helps lead initiatives such as the Heroes Ball.
Jordan, co-founder of Jae Maison, an interior design retail store in Minnesota, channels her creative vision into interiors that feel layered and deeply personal. What began as a passion during the couple’s home build evolved into a retail and design destination rooted in thoughtful living.
“We both have demanding schedules, so it comes down to communication and trust. Jordan has an incredible ability to keep everything grounded and moving forward,” Kyle says.
Their perfect South Tampa day reflects their values and interests: a morning workout at Sukha, time with their children, golf for Kyle and girls’ lunches for Jordan, and an evening at a South Tampa restaurant, soaking in the life they’ve built together.
