WestShore Plaza Redevelopment
Third Lake Partners purchased the 53.31-acre property for $135 million in July and plans to transform the site into a 14-block mixed-use development. The project could bring up to 1,765 residential units, nearly 902,000 square feet of retail, 500,000 square feet of office and medical office space and 240 hotel rooms. Plans also include more than 221,000 square feet of restaurants, entertainment, recreation and other commercial uses.
Airport Upgrades Move Forward
Part of a $145 million upgrade at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport, plans are moving forward for a new 2,000-space parking garage and a 300-space surface lot. The $57 million parking project is slated to break ground in January 2027 and is expected to wrap up in early 2028. Clearwater Executive Airport has broken ground on a new two-story, 18,000-square-foot terminal. The project is expected to be completed by December 2027.
Oxford Exchange Founders Plan 550-Acre Luxury Retreat
Hospitality leaders Blake Casper and Allison Casper Adams, the team behind Oxford Exchange, are planning Clay Hill, a luxury destination spanning 550 acres across Pasco and Hernando counties. Plans call for 130 rooms, a farm-to-table program, multiple food and beverage concepts, a wellness spa, chapel, clubhouse, equestrian center and collection of estate-style homes. If approvals move forward, construction could begin in 2028, with an opening anticipated around late 2030.
Long Awaited Tampa Bay Rays Decision Made
The Tampa Bay Rays, City of Tampa and Hillsborough County have reached an agreement for a $2.3 billion ballpark in Tampa. Under the proposed funding structure, the Rays would invest approximately $1.37 billion, while Hillsborough County would contribute $796 million and the city would provide $80 million.
Icons Club Plans Fitness Production Studio Ahead of 2027 App Launch
Icons Club, a subscription-based fitness platform, is planning a 3,300-square-foot production studio at 7101 U.S. Hwy. 19 N. ahead of its app’s expected launch in 2027. The facility will serve as the company’s production hub, filming training programs.
