Dr. Holland grew up with an internist in the household. Her mother co-founded Bayside Physicians and inspired her to attend medical school and dedicate her life to internal medicine.
Dr. Holland and her family are supporters of Horsepower For Kids, a petting farm and riding stable that also assists underprivileged kids.
When I’m not in the office:
I try to go skiing as much as I can. I’ve been taking skiing trips with my family since I was 4 years old.
My mom. She has always been there for me.
Where do you take out-of-town guests to really show off Tampa:
One of the restaurants on the water, like Oystercatchers or Aqua.
Motto/Words of wisdom:
Trust your gut. It has taken me in all the right places.
If you could nominate someone else for this recognition:

I always feel guilty and it always feels good.
Best thing you can cook:
I love making quiches, all kinds. I don’t do it often, but it gets better every time.
Under the Tuscan Sun

Last book I read: I just finished entire Divergent series
How I spend the holidays:
Lots of family time. My husband is from Texas, so we’ll go to Dallas for a few days and then visit my grandparents in Georgia.
Seychelles, it’s small island off the coast of Africa. The most beautiful beach pictures you’ve ever seen come from there. I’m a sucker for that kind of stuff. It looks so peaceful.
If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive:
Comedian Demetri Martin
