MICHELIN Guide Florida Expansion
Tampa boasts several Michelin-worthy restaurants and now the recognition is expanding. The MICHELIN Guide announced it will broaden its Florida selection in 2025 by adding three new destinations, including St. Pete-Clearwater. By 2026, the selection will become statewide, covering all of Florida. With the search for top culinary gems already underway, which St. Pete-Clearwater restaurants will make the cut?
Local Rapper Wins Grammy
Doechii, the 26-year-old Tampa-born rapper and graduate of Howard W. Blake High School’s arts magnet program, recently earned a Grammy for Best New Rap Album for her mixtape “Alligator Bites Never Heal.” She became the third woman to win the award since the category’s inception in 1989.
BayCare Plans New ER Facility
BayCare Health System has acquired the Barnes & Noble across from Tyrone Square Mall in West St. Pete with plans to transform the 15,456-square-foot building into a freestanding emergency center. This marks the nonprofit healthcare organization’s second Barnes & Noble purchase in Tampa Bay.
Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Plans New Headquarters
Tampa-based Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. broke ground on its new headquarters, manufacturing and distribution center on Princess Palm Avenue. The 84,000-square-foot facility will feature 14,000 square feet of office space, with 35,000 square feet dedicated to coffee roasting and grinding, and an additional 35,000 square feet for packaging, shipping and receiving. The center is expected to open in March 2026.
Delta Airlines Plans Sky Club at TPA
Delta Airlines is set to open a new Sky Club in the Airside D terminal at Tampa International Airport. Slated for completion in 2027, the Sky Club will house curated spaces for relaxation and work, premium food and beverage options, state-of-the-art amenities, and a design inspired by the region’s coastal vibe.
Blake High Alum is a Super Bowl Champion
Isaiah Rodgers, a 2016 Blake High alum and Philadelphia Eagles cornerback, is now a Super Bowl champion. The Eagles dominated the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, securing a 40-22 victory.
