Dr. Lori Ransohoff is not only the mother of two Tampa Prep alumni but also one of Tampa’s premier dentists, conveniently located in Hyde Park. Dr. Ransohoff worked at James A. Haley VA Hospital for 23 years designing and constructing facial prosthesis and customized oral appliances to aid in mastication, speech and swallowing issues due to cancer, burns and trauma, along with full mouth reconstruction and dentures/obturators. After treating our nation’s veterans for over two decades, Dr. Ransohoff took over a well-established dental practice in 2016, which she now calls Historic Hyde Park Dentistry.

At Historic Hyde Park Dentistry, Dr. Ransohoff specializes in creating beautiful smiles using state-of-the-art techniques, including single visit CEREC® crowns and veneers, metal-free tooth restorations, teeth whitening, laser cavity removal and digital x-rays. Her practice is metal and latex-free.

“I do the least amount of dentistry to yield the best results,” Dr. Ransohoff says.

She is Dawson-trained in the treatment of TMJ and occlusion and is pursuing AAFE training to provide Botox and facial fillers in her boutique dental practice. Dr. Ransohoff even brings her emotional support dogs (toy poodle, Bella, and Yorkie-Poo, Louie) to the office with her to ensure all of her patients are comfortable.

Outside of her regular practice, Dr. Ransohoff treats women from the House of Hope who otherwise could not afford dental care. Creating great smiles helps these women get back on their feet and return to the job market.

Dr. Ransohoff’s many professional accomplishments include holding leadership positions in the Florida Prosthodontist Association for six years prior to being elected the organization’s first female president. Dr. Ransohoff also belongs to several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. As well as the Seattle Study Club and the Dawson Study Club.

Education: New York University College of Dentistry, DDS; Post-Graduate Degree, Prosthodontics; Post-Graduate Degree, Maxillo-Facial Prosthetics
