Brought to you by Asiatic

Located in the heart of Centro Ybor, Asiatic features authentic Thai and Asian dishes including curry, stir fry, udon, pho and Phat Thai, with lots of gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options. Local food blogger Jenn Thai recently stopped by to try some of Asiatic’s best-sellers, and she’s sharing some of her favorites below. “Asiatic Street Food + Noodle Bar in Ybor City is a go-to spot of mine when I’m craving Thai-style noodles and street food,” Jenn says. “The dishes do not fall short of flavorful, and when you want to kick up the heat a notch, requesting their spice tray with your meal is a must.”

Phad Kee-Mao aka Drunken Noodles

PHAD KEE-MAO, OR DRUNKEN NOODLES, is a signature Thai noodle dish that Asiatic nails every time I order it. It features fragrant basil leaves stir-fried with wide noodles, oyster sauce and fresh vegetables, and it can easily be shared with its large portion.

Phad Basil

THE PHAD BASIL is my favorite street food dish at Asiatic — it is absolutely delicious! It’s a great dish to order with a medium spice level, as the sunny-side up egg and white rice it’s served with help to cut the heat. I highly recommend pairing this with the pickled peppers from the spice tray.

Tom Yum Goong

TOM YUM GOONG is a traditional Thai soup that I can never go to Asiatic without ordering, regardless of the weather. I love the savory and spicy lemongrass broth, and the shrimp, mushrooms and tomatoes in the soup soak up all the flavor!

Som Tam Set

For a lighter, more healthy bite, the SOM TAM SET is both refreshing and flavorful, and it is a favorite lunch order of mine. It offers a little bit of everything, with a heaping papaya salad, sticky rice and grilled chicken.
