Every attorney fights for their clients, but as Marc Matthews sees it, nothing compares to a trial attorney’s ability to give voice to the voiceless in their legal battle against a powerful corporation or insurance company.

“There is nothing more gratifying than listening to the jury render a verdict in favor of my client, knowing everything my client has gone through to get to that point,” Matthews says.

After spending years working for some of the largest law firms in the world, Matthews, who earned an AV-Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, formed Matthews Injury Law in 2014. His team works collaboratively to obtain exceptional outcomes for their clients, regardless of the case’s complexity. Matthews’ tenacity helps his clients obtain the justice they deserve, like one individual who faced unyielding pain and suffering after a car accident that, on its face, did not seem catastrophic.

“We believed in our client and his case. We listened to him and attempted to truly understand his pain and his daily challenges,” Matthews says. “The jury returned a verdict in favor of our client that was more than 100 times the amount of the final offer from the defendants. The company minimized my client and refused to even try to understand his pain and suffering – after years of litigation, the jury made sure that they understood.”

Outside of his practice, Matthews — who grew up in the Tampa Bay area — is a husband, a father of two children and an active member of the community.
