Dr. Kalava is a Mayo Clinic fellowship-trained, double board-certified anesthesiologist and pain physician with more than 15 years of experience in interventional pain management. As chairman and founder of the American Society for Post Surgical Pain (ASPSP), he is recognized for advancing evidence-based, opioid-free approaches to postsurgical and complex pain care. He is the founder of TampaPainMD, Florida’s first and only concierge pain practice focused exclusively on postsurgical pain, complex pain and pelvic pain management.
