For Alexa Rodica, opening her own business was the beginning of a newfound freedom and creativity in how she practices the art of aesthetics. “I find that flexibility to be so valuable in this industry. The ability to customize my patients’ treatments was never an option when working for anyone else,” she says. “It’s also always been so important to me to invest in my education and keep up with the most current products, practices and techniques in medical aesthetics. Owning my business has allowed me to prioritize and participate in different trainings while growing my practice.”

When asked what separates AR Aesthetics from other local medspas, Alexa doesn’t hesitate. “This is an easy one! I genuinely love creating art and taking a holistic approach with the face,” she says. “My core focus is a beautiful result over the price tag, and think my patients know that about me. I also try to be as honest as possible and set very realistic expectations without being pushy or misleading.

“Every treatment plan is individually customized to my patients’ needs, with their anatomy and individual aesthetic goals in mind,” Alexa adds. “I like to use a combination of different dermal fillers, mixing and blending as necessary, to achieve the most natural results! I always talk to my patients about facial balance and harmonization, where every facial feature blends seamlessly into the next. I think the most transformative area I treat would be noses and chins to really create structure and balance. If you ask my patients, though, they might tell you my expertise is lips, lips, lips!”

Outside of her practice, you’ll probably find Alexa spending time with her mini Australian shepherd puppy, Arlo, or checking out one of South Tampa’s newest hot spots.
