The Word “impossible” is not in Felicia Lacalle’s vocabulary. Maybe that’s how the Tampa native has found time to develop a new restaurant while running another, produce her own podcast, spend time feeding the homeless and represent Tampa in a Super Bowl cook-off on the Today show this year.

A regular award-winner at the International Cuban Sandwich Festival, Felicia serves that signature sandwich and other Cuban-inspired culinary delights at her restaurant Kuba in St. Pete and has big plans for her new location in Seminole Heights. “We want to have a blend of flavors and fun from different cultures,” she says. “Dinner will be Floribbean-style with tapas – a chance to be creative with Cuban food as the basis. We’ll still have lunch and brunch but will also have live music and a Cuban-style speakeasy upstairs.”
