Gianna Accardi has loved fashion all her life, and she and her mom had long dreamed of opening a boutique together. During Accardi’s last year in college, they had a conversation about how difficult it is to buy swimwear and how Tampa was lacking brick-and-mortar locations outside of the mall to buy high-end suits. “We looked at each other and said, should we open a bikini boutique?” Accardi says.

In late 2019, The Cabana South was born. Together, the Accardis created a space with both an eye for chic, Instagram-ready aesthetics and a swimwear inventory that is inclusive of different age ranges, shapes, and sizes. “We have a little something for everyone, including great accessories, bracelets, hats, and even dresses to go out to dinner in,” Accardi says. “Being able to cater to all ages and sizes is amazing.”
