Lisa Gilmore doesn’t just design spaces—she creates stories. Her journey into interior design began in high school, inspired by HGTV, and after graduating from design school, she honed her craft at a small firm in her hometown of Lakeland. There, she learned to layer textiles, colors and patterns in unexpected ways, moving beyond traditional coastal palettes to develop her signature style.

In 2011, Gilmore launched Lisa Gilmore Design, now recognized as Tampa Bay’s leading interior design firm and specializing in interiors that reflect each client’s personality and lifestyle. She calls her aesthetic Livable Glamour—a fusion of luxury and comfort that allows clients to have beautifully designed homes that still feel welcoming and functional. Inspired by her travels and time working in Chicago, her approach blends opulent elements like velvet and crystal chandeliers with approachable touches such as cotton, linen and vintage finds.

“It’s about creating unique stories and spaces for people to truly live in their homes and entertain and rejuvenate and be their best selves,” she says.

Her firm has since grown into a powerhouse team, including longtime collaborators Director of Procurement Kristin Marshburn and Senior Designer Project Manager Nicole Maldonado. Together, they transform homes into one-of-a-kind sanctuaries, whether restoring historic charm or designing something entirely new.
