Sheltair is a family-owned company that enjoys a reputation for its superior safety and service-driven culture. Founded in 1963 by Jerry Holland, it is the nation’s largest privately owned aviation network, operating 18 award-winning FBOs and managing over 4.5 million square feet of aviation-related properties.
Current Sheltair President Lisa Holland, daughter of Jerry Holland, demonstrated passion for business early in life and accompanied her father on jobs and projects. Lisa’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to start her own businesses as an adult, before returning to Sheltair in 2017 as a successful businesswoman.
Lisa was appointed President in January 2020, embracing her father’s vision for Sheltair to remain a vibrant and successful family-owned business. Lisa led Sheltair through the COVID-19 crisis and took the opportunity of change to cultivate her team and foster a support system for Sheltair employees. Concurrently, her son, Kai Seymour, joined the company after graduating from the University of Tampa, continuing his grandfather’s legacy.
“This was a proud Sheltair moment which now boasts three generations of the Holland family. As a mother and President of Sheltair, this is an opportunity to show the next generation how passion and integrity can make a difference in our employees’ lives and corporate reputation.”
Committed to Hillsborough County’s economic growth, Sheltair announced its expansion plans at Tampa International Airport with a 110,000 square-foot hangar complex.
Philanthropy is vital for Lisa. Amid the Pandemic, she launched a virtual 5K to benefit local food banks, implemented a paid “Volunteer Time-Off Policy,” and encouraged a two-year pledge to “Adopt A Shore” cleaning Florida’s coastlines.
Lisa Holland brings a fresh perspective to the family business while sustaining her father’s vision. Growing Sheltair, maintaining its values, and defining excellence across an expanding aviation market is just part of her emerging legacy in an era of unprecedented challenges and extraordinary opportunities.
