Eric Dungy is a Compass real estate agent who specializes in sports and entertainment. Leaning on his experience as a former Division 1 football player at the University of Oregon and the University of South Florida, he has developed a roster of clients who are professional athletes or coaches. He was also named the Official Luxury Realtor® of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

ABOUT ME

I moved to Tampa for the first time when I was about four years old. I lived in Indiana from 7th to 10th grade, but I grew up here. My parents kept their house in Tampa so it’s always been my hometown even when I’ve lived in other places. I went to college in Oregon, came back and I’ve been here ever since. It has all the things that you’d want out of a big city: entertainment, nightlife, restaurants, sports, water and weather.

MY LOCAL KNOWLEDGE

I love being outside in general, whether it’s eating on the patio or sitting outside doing work, but I love bike riding. I have a bike tour in my mind that I sometimes take friends on that showcases some of the best parts of Tampa: Bayshore Boulevard, Davis Islands, the Riverwalk and the University of Tampa area.

I enjoy Picnic Island Beach.

It feels like you have your own little private beach. I like privacy, so any place that offers that is big for me.

Salt Shack on the Bay, The Getaway and Birchwood Canopy are all about the vibes. Those are places I like to take people who are visiting from out of town. To me, they’re what you picture when you think of Florida in your mind. I love looking at the water and being in the sun and I especially enjoy the live reggae music at Salt Shack.

Hotel Bar and Bouzy would be places for my ideal night out on the town. I like that they’re more intimate settings and they have good music taste, but you’re still able to have comfortable conversations with your company.

For a good comedy show, I enjoy the Tampa Improv – who doesn’t enjoy laughing? Whether it’s a world-famous comic or a lesser-known amateur I usually end up having a great time.
