10 Farmers Markets in Tampa Bay

Farmers markets are about fruits, veggies — and so much more. Stroll through Tampa and St. Pete’s farmers markets and you’ll be met with artisan breads, jewelry, clothing, paintings and nearly any other homemade foods, sauces and products you can think of. Whether it’s after work or during the weekend, take some time to wander around this plethora of Tampa Bay area markets to find locally produced groceries and goodies. Be sure to check the market’s website or social media before you go to see if hours changed due to holidays, weather, etc.

Tampa

The Market at Water Street Tampa
Water St., Tampa, FL 33602
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the third Sunday of every month
Having its debut this January, this is the newest market in Tampa Bay. Water Street Tampa has had many outdoor activities for the entire family. This latest event continues to encourage people to come and browse local vendors and find new items or food options to add to the house.

Ybor City Saturday Market
1901 N. 19th St., Tampa, FL 33605
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays 
In Historic Ybor City, local vendors line the streets with tents and displays of goods. Grab a week’s worth of fresh produce and vegetables to fill your kitchen with. If you’re lucky you might cross paths with Ybor’s local chickens.

Hyde Park Fresh Market
1602 W. Snow Circle, Tampa, FL 33606
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the first Sunday of every month
With more than 120 local vendors, stroll under the trees in the heart of Hyde Park Village. Look for unique handcrafted items, plants to liven up your house and an assortment of goodies and good eats. With many shops and restaurants surrounding the market, you can make a full day out of this Sunday trip.

Wednesday Night Exchange at Westshore Marina District
4900 Bridge St., Tampa, FL 33611
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. the first Wednesday of every month
This late-night market encourages guests to walk under the lights as they peruse tents set up by local vendors. With handmade hummus, salsas, candles or clothing, the options are endless at this night market. Grab a bite for dinner at one of the various food trucks before you leave.

Sunshine Market at Midtown Tampa
3650 Midtown Drive, Tampa, FL 33607
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the last Sunday of every month
Listen to live music as you enjoy one of Midtown Tampa’s open markets. This market is organized by Tampa Bay Markets to increase public health and well being by improving access to fresh fruits and vegetables. With over 40 vendors participating in the market finding fresh foods and many other unique items, elevate your dishes.

Sunset Market at Midtown Tampa
3650 Midtown Drive, Tampa, FL 33607
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. the first Thursday of every month
Start the beginning of your month with fresh, hand-picked fruits and vegetables to add to every dish. Local vendors come and set up their stands with a variety of items ready to be taken home. It’s the perfect way to end the work day.

Tampa Bay Farmers Market
10001 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa, FL 33612
8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays 
Open every day, Tampa’s Farmer’s Market has been welcoming customers since 1977. Following the items that are in season, you can find fresh goods locally sourced. At this indoor market with great deals you will also find jams, oils, cheese and specialty noodles. This is the perfect one-stop shop to fulfill your shopping list.

St. Petersburg

Saturday Morning Market
Al Lang Stadium: 230 1st St. SE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays 
Start your weekend off with the aromas of food trucks, music from local bands and artists, and more than 130 vendors and family owned farmers produce stands. Every weekend come find new vendors scattered around at Al Lang Stadium.

Corey Avenue Sunday Market
398-300 Corey Ave., St. Pete Beach, FL 33706
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays 
This Sunday market welcomes its guests to start their day under the sun. In the heart of St. Pete Beach, listen to the soothing sounds of the water as you venture around local vendors. You can find vendors that offer gourmet foods to take home or snacks to enjoy as you walk around.

Red House Farmers Market
3295 62nd Ave., St. Petersburg, FL 33702
8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays
Look for the red barn located on 62nd Street in St. Pete. Grab all the essentials such as eggs, milk, fruits, veggies and honey. Offering items by local farmers, here is where you can come to find the freshest foods available locally.
