Dr. Maulik Bhalani is the foremost expert in the field of interventional pain management in the Tampa Bay region. As the Founder and President at Florida Pain Medicine, he is double board certified in Interventional Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Dr. Bhalani completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation while serving as a chief resident at the University of South Florida (USF). He then furthered his education and training with a prestigious two-year Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship at USF, serving as a chief fellow.
He has lectured at conferences nationally, and he currently serves as director-at-large and vice president for the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (FSIPP). Florida Pain Medicine is a core rotation and teaching facility for the USF Health ACGME Pain Medicine Fellowship and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency, where he serves as Faculty and Clinical Associate Professor. Dr. Bhalani also participates in clinical research to advance the science of pain medicine including studies for Spinal Cord Stimulation and Intradiscal Injections.
Dr. Bhalani’s focus includes new technologies and innovative practices in Regenerative Medicine, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell injections.
