New St. Pete Rooftop Bar Coming In 2023
Cane & Barrel is set to open in Downtown St. Petersburg in early 2023. Located on top of the AC Hotel by Marriott that’s connected to Ascent St. Pete, the new signature rooftop terrace bar will be inspired by Cuban heritage with an interior designed by the Ellis Adams Group, of California. The 1,000-square-foot inside lounge will be accompanied by a 1,900-square-foot outdoor terrace and a second bar. Cane & Barrel’s unique style will mix modern tropical ties with old charm.

Lunch Lady Arrives In Sparkman Wharf
Elevated fast-casual restaurant Lunch Lady joined Sparkman Wharf’s diverse multipurpose dining development in November. Tampa-based hospitality group Proper House Group and chef Ferrell Alvarez created the unique concept to offer a spin on classic sandwiches and salads. The menu features housemade pressed sandwiches on locally sourced bread, as well as juices, teas and salads, with vegan and vegetarian options.

‘Tis the season to be festive. Winter Village is back through Jan. 4 at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, featuring waterfront ice-skating (ticketed), shops, hot cocoa, santa sightings, music and special events. Plus, Tampa’s largest lighted boat parade will float along the Hillsborough River on Dec. 17. Catch it starting at 6 p.m. at Davis Islands and ending at Sparkman Wharf.

Core Reform opens In Midtown Tampa
Celebrity fitness trainer Sebastien Lagree brought his boutique fitness studio to Midtown Tampa’s multipurpose community in November. The studio focuses on the Lagree method, which incorporates high-intensity, yet low-impact workouts in 45-minute classes. Instructors offer workout combinations of cardio, strength, endurance and flexibility. Core Reform sits next to Sephora and BellaBrava.

Due Amici To bring Wine Bar to Ybor City
Next door to its pizzeria, Due Amici is set to open an upscale wine and champagne bar around the end of this year at 1730 E. 7th Ave. Geo’s will feature an extensive list of wine and champagne, nightly live music and charcuterie options. Its interior will have a chic lounge style with colored lighting, large windows and groovy decor.

Tampa Celebrated As A Top Foodie City
WalletHub recently ranked Tampa as the No. 8 top foodie city in the country. Factors like grocery accessibility, a combination of upscale and casual options and occasional festivals contributed to Tampa’s outstanding placement compared to over 180 other U.S. cities. Tampa is celebrated for its abundance of diners, coffee shops, cafes, grocers, farmers markets and food trucks that attract people of all interests.

Gasparilla Bowl Is Back
Set to take place at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 23, the 14th annual Gasparilla Bowl gives Tampa residents and visitors the perfect opportunity to bring their holiday cheer to Raymond James Stadium. This year, the stadium will offer special seating options and pre-game tailgate parties for families, fans and local businesses. Also, the game will air on ESPN.
