”We love using wallpaper—especially whern it’s bold, playful and full of flamingos” says Kylie Ponton, principal designer of Ponton Interiors. The neon signage adds a fun touch, while the custom bathroom vanity is paint-matched to the flamingo theme. The black marble countertop, streaked with pink and white, is a stunning centerpiece and the Tilebar Blonde Indigo Blue Foliage hexagonal tiles create a lush, leafy pattern on the floor, making this space truly eclectic.
Ponton Interiors revitalized this historic 1926 residence in Tampa’s Swann Circle Park into a luxurious sanctuary for political strategist Anthony Pedicini. The two-story, four-bedroom, four-bath home, complemented by a detached two-story garage, harmoniously blends contemporary functionality with original charm. Previous renovations left layers of paint, stucco and wallpaper, elements like exposed brick walls and a sunroom fireplace were kept preserved. The interior showcases an art deco-inspired palette of deep green, gold accents and rich dark wood tones.
Significant features include striking stained glass windows, complemented by brass and crystal fixtures and a gloss black Aga range in the kitchen. The sunroom offers views of Swann Circle Park, while the kitchen underwent a substantial redesign to enhance both symmetry and visual appeal. Ponton Interiors navigated challenges adeptly, resulting in a space that exudes the glamour of the Roaring Twenties intertwined with Tampa’s historical essence.
Focused on creating an environment ideal for entertaining, the renovation carefully maintained original details while updating the layout and enhancing bathrooms within spatial constraints. The home now stands as a curated masterpiece, marrying bold design with practical living spaces tailored to the homeowner’s lifestyle and historical preservation principles.
