Interior Designer: principal Enrique Crespo & senior designer Lisa Clark, of Crespo Design Group
Builder: Steven Anthony Luxury Homes
Cabinetry: AlliKristé
Landscaper: Argentine Group

A spacious, two-story South Tampa home embodies lively luxury with pops of playful color. Tampa-based Crespo Design Group peppered the six-bedroom, six-and-a-half bathroom piece of paradise with turquoise, chartreuse and pink, as well as bright, stimulating textures and patterns.

Principal Enrique Crespo and senior designer Lisa Clark readied the 6,120-square-foot new build for a couple and their five children relocating from south Florida in 2022. The design team achieved beauty and functionality, thoughtfully selecting commercial-grade, durable fabrics to stand up to daily wear and tear. They selected natural materials, comfortable, classic furniture and other decors with approachable elegance with a twist.

“We tried to keep it very classic with a punch,” Crespo notes. “I love how eclectic, yet cohesive the whole interior is. We tried to have a lot of fun with color and really achieved a very harmonious balance of lovely transitions from room to room and one room speaks to the other and there’s no hard stop for the eye.”

Notable features of the home include a four-car garage with a side entry, a gym, a wine room, an upstairs TV room for the kids, separate offices and closets for the couple, individual bedrooms for each child and a spacious backyard, pool and outdoor dining area with a fire pit and ping pong table.

For the family room, Crespo chose a Hickory Chair sectional with colorful pillows, an Old Biscayne Designs coffee table, a console by Pfeifer Studio and funky stools by Made Goods. In this open floor plan, the family room flows into the wine room, kitchen and dining room.
The formal dining room boasts a custom mural by local artist Mariya Nikolova, a table from Old Biscayne Designs, and chair fabric and window treatments by Jim Thompson Fabrics.
A leather quartzite full backsplash elevates the kitchen. Barstools and chairs from Vanguard Furniture and lighting by Visual Comfort & Co. complete the look. “We wanted to keep the kitchen sort of quiet so nothing would fight with anything else,” Crespo notes.
In the boys rooms, Crespo chose custom bunk beds and ceiling fixtures by Restoration Hardware.
In the boys rooms, Crespo chose an Old Biscayne Designs desk with a swivel chair by Bernhardt.
Vibrant wallpaper brings this bathroom to life, as well as on-trend gold and antique brass elements.

The master bathroom flaunts custom mirrors, fixtures by Brizo, and an ottoman and fabric by Kravet.
“The backyard oasis is designed to keep the entire family entertained year-round, equipped with a luxurious pool, lush surrounding greenery and plenty of room to dine al fresco with their loved ones,” he says.
Crespo incorporated Brown Jordan furniture and No. 9 pillow fabric into the spacious patio.
