Situated in the heart of Tampa’s most historic neighborhood, Hyde Park Village is one of the Bay area’s top shopping and dining destinations. A mix of national brands, like Anthropologie, Brooks Brothers, Kendra Scott and Pottery Barn, and local favorites, including Salt Pines, Downtown Dogs, Juxtapose Apparel & Studio and Surf Outfitter, make up the village’s retail offerings.
Hyde Park Village is also home to some of Tampa’s most-loved and best-reviewed restaurants. From cupcakes at Sprinkles and margaritas at bartaco to burgers at the classic Goody Goody and locally inspired dishes at On Swann, there’s something for every palate.
The village is wrapping up its Beautification Project, a massive, multiyear undertaking to improve street conditions and parking, widen sidewalks, replant native trees, increase outdoor gathering spaces, renovate existing buildings and construct a brand-new building on Snow Avenue. As part of the project, a number of new additions have opened or will be opening their doors, including: Boho Hunter, a Latin American-inspired clothing and accessories boutique; specialty oil, vinegar and food purveyor Fig & Julep; craft gallery SHAPIRO’S; Better Byrd, a fast-casual concept from Ciccio Restaurant Group; and Social Status, a fashion-forward street style shop. As part of its dedication to supporting small businesses, Hyde Park Village established The Fling, a space for local entrepreneurs to set up a temporary pop-up shop, in 2017.
Some of the popular recurring events at Hyde Park Village include Friday at the Fountain, held the first Friday of the month, Hyde Park Healthy, a free fitness class held each Saturday morning, and the Fresh Market (see more information below).
During the holidays, the village truly comes alive. Children can visit with Santa on select days, winter décor is sprinkled throughout the outdoor gathering spaces, and the enormous tree lights up every night. The Hyde Park Village tree will be lit for the first time this season at the Enchanted Tree Lighting on Saturday, Nov. 18 (see below for more information).
