According to Zillow, a leading real estate marketplace, the Tampa Bay metro area falls into the top 10 hottest housing markets in 2024. Zillow analyzed the 50 largest U.S. metropolitan areas and Tampa Bay came in at number 10. Other cities on the top 10 list include Buffalo, New York, Cleveland, Atlanta and Orlando.

For the first time in its franchise history, the Tampa Bay Bucs became the NFC South champs for the third year in a row. The Buccaneers also became the only NFC team to make the playoffs the last four seasons.
St. Pete Is One Of The Country’s Trendiest Destinations
St. Petersburg shines bright as one of Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best destinations. Less than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings are awarded the Best of the Best honor and St. Petersburg secured the second place spot for trendiest locations nationwide, right behind Napa which took the number 1 spot. St. Petersburg was noted for its sunny weather, coastline and more.
Tampa Bay’s 2023 Job Growth Fueled By Healthcare And Education
In 2023, the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area experienced robust job growth, with the addition of nearly 30,000 new jobs, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, most of which were in the healthcare and education field. Those two areas saw a 10% increase in local employment followed by transportation and utilities. Fields that witnessed a decrease were financial activities, leisure and hospitality and information.
Florida Surpasses Population Of New York
According to the 2023 US Census, Florida experienced a population surge, gaining 365,205 residents. This increase saw the Sunshine State surpass New York’s population by an impressive 3 million individuals. While looking at the most populous states overall, Florida secures the third spot with California at number 1 and Texas at number 2.
