Tampa Featured on PBS
Two-time Emmy-winning TV host Samantha Brown brings viewers to Tampa in Season 9, Episode 9 of the PBS show “Places to Love.” The episode highlights some of the city’s standout experiences, including a visit to J.C. Newman Cigar Company, a meal at Ulele, kayak fishing in Mobbly Bayou Nature Preserve and a walk through Hillsborough River State Park. Brown also joins a yoga session with wild chickens and explores a lively outdoor Thai market.

The Dalí Museum Gets $65 Million Expansion
In late February, The Dalí Museum was named the No. 5 Best Art Museum in the country in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards and is now planning a major expansion. The Beck Group, the firm behind its iconic 2011 building, will design and build the new addition. The roughly 35,000-square-foot project will introduce flexible galleries for immersive exhibitions, a new learning center and expanded community gathering spaces. The $65 million expansion is expected to break ground in fall 2026, with the museum remaining open and new spaces planned to debut in 2028.

Permits Filed for Observation Tower in Channelside District
Permits have been filed for Tampa WOW, a $20 million amusement project planned for the parking lot across from the cruise terminals. The project will feature a 250-foot observation wheel paired with a 50-seat restaurant.

Tampa Theatre Begins Restoration Ahead of Centennial
The Duncan Auditorium at Tampa Theatre has closed as part of the theatre’s $24.5 million restoration. The project includes a comprehensive historic renovation, along with audiovisual upgrades, a refreshed concessions area, a new stage truss system and enhanced theatrical lighting for live performances and film screenings.

Pendry Penthouse Set to Break Tampa Bay Record
At $45.5 million, the penthouse at Pendry Residences Tampa is poised to become the most expensive residence in Tampa Bay history. Spanning 10,072 square feet atop the 38th floor, the home will feature six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, two powder rooms, and expansive indoor-outdoor living. If it sells at its listing price, it will surpass the current record for the region’s most expensive condominium transaction—a $27 million sale at the Waldorf Astoria Residences in St. Petersburg.
