Nyla Hazratjee is a Renaissance woman: homemaker (two kids), licensed physician (enterologist with three Tampa-area offices), filmmaker from script to directing (two wins on her first try at Sundance), and founder of NY/LA Production, a woman-centric creative agency focusing on Muslim and South Asian stories.
But, she still finds time to enjoy her 2018 Aston Martin DB11, a James Bond-style GT in pearl white with a red interior. That Le Mans-winning twin-turbo V-12 produces 630 hp and takes just 3.5 seconds to reach 60 mph.
“My husband, Rames (another enterologist) and I like speed,” she admits. That’s no surprise since they have a condo where they can air out the Aston and their two classic Corvettes: a 1977 with the L82 350 cu. in. engine and a snarky 2024, subtle in orange with a blue stripe.
What else fills Nyla’s world? She just finished her first TEDx talk, is working on two films and ends with the understated, “I just can’t be bored.”
