(poré-sha-file), Noun, 1. one who is infatuated with Porsche sports cars. 2. one who has owned numerous Porsches.
If such an entry existed in the New Oxford Dictionary, a picture of Dr. Kenneth Pages would be the illustration. Voted TAMPA Magazines’ Top Psychiatrist for 10 consecutve years, this distinguished physician has an abiding love for Porsches. From a Cayman (a gift to himself upon opening his private practice) to a Spyder, an early Targa and even a Cabriolet.
But none compare to his current Python Green 2022 Targa 4 GTS. This car blends the performance attributes of the Porsche brand: boasting a top speed of over 190 miles per hour and acceleration of 0 to 60 in 3.3 seconds, with surprising civility. With the touch of a button, the top disappears and its four-wheel drive ensures surefooted handling.
Unlike some GTS owners, Dr. Pages “just tools around town” in it, although he admits that he does like a car that really pops, which it certainly does. His Porsche is instantly recognizable at Bern’s Steak House, one of his favorite eateries, or at the Tampa Museum of Art, where he serves on the Board. He also uses it daily for his commute to his office at TMS of South Florida, where he is a pioneer in transcranial magnetic stimulation—a groundbreaking treatment for depression and other conditions.
One thing is for sure: Dr. Pages’ Porsche is the perfect prescription for sheer fun.
