Dr. Alexander Engelman, a Tampa native, is a radiation oncologist with experience in treating all cancer sites. He is board certified in Radiation Oncology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Engelman is well-versed in treatments like IGRT, IMRT, LDR and HDR brachytherapy, Gamma Knife and CyberKnife radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) and radiopharmaceuticals. He is one of the few radiation oncologists in the Tampa Bay area who has received dedicated training in proton therapy. Dr. Engelman prides himself on excellent patient care and technological expertise. He is passionate about helping patients fully understand their condition and treatment options in clear and simple terms. He enjoys the time spent getting to know patients and their families to understand their individual concerns and goals.
