Ready to bring relief and support to those affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton, BayCare team members and Feeding Tampa Bay unite to unload supplies.

Rising Together: Tampa Bay’s Relief Efforts After Hurricanes Helene and Milton

After Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Tampa Bay community has united to support those affected by the storms. Even BayCare has announced it is donating $300,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay, Metropolitan Ministries and the St. Petersburg Free Clinic. Each day, more resources become available to assist those impacted by the hurricanes.

BayCare team members and Feeding Tampa Bay come together in the aftermath of hurricanes Helene and Milton to distribute essential supplies to support the community’s recovery.
City of Tampa

Two drive-through distribution sites are now open to provide Tampa residents with water, ice, meals, and supplies.

  • Gandy Boat Ramp, 5108 W Gandy Blvd., Tampa
  • Al Lopez Park, 4810 N Himes Ave., Tampa

These sites are open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until further notice.

Feeding Tampa Bay

As of October 16, Feeding Tampa Bay has provided 1,362,162 disaster meals through 90 distribution sites across the region’s hurricane-impacted areas. With the help of 2,700 volunteers contributing 4,759 hours of service, they continue to deliver critical supplies. Salvation Army Tampa Bay

The Salvation Army Tampa Bay is responding to Hurricane Milton with mobile feeding units and disaster workers from across the country, providing food, drinks, and emergency supplies. For updates on locations and hours, follow @salvationarmytampaareacommand on Instagram.

  • Salvation Army Tampa Corps | 1100 West Sligh Ave., Tampa
  • Victory Tabernacle of Seminole Heights | 1010 E Busch Blvd., Suite 102, Tampa
  • Centerpoint Church | 1720 S. St. Could Ave
Mercy Full Project

Mercy Full Project has established a pet food pantry at 901 N. Fremont Ave., Tampa, available to anyone needing supplies for their pets.

Dead Bob’s Hurricane Relief Donations and Pick-Up

Drop-off: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Pick-up: 12:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.
On Saturday, October 19, Dead Bob’s will host a relief donation and pick-up event at 6475 Central Ave., St. Pete.

Fuel

Fuel distribution sites, provided by the state, are now open across Tampa Bay. These locations operate daily until 7 p.m. or until supplies last. Each vehicle is limited to 10 gallons of fuel, and wait times may be long at some stations.

  • East Bay Raceway: 6311 Burts Rd, Tampa – Opens at 10 a.m.
  • Plant City Stadium: 1810 S Park Road, Plant City – Opens at 7 a.m.
  • Central Lot – Tropicana Field: 800 1st Ave S, St. Pete – Opens at 7 a.m.
  • Suncoast Technical College: 4445 Career Lane, North Port – Opens at 7 a.m.
  • Charlotte Sports Park: 2300 El Jobean, Port Charlotte – Opens at 7 a.m.
  • St. Pete College Tarpon Springs: 600 E Klosterman Rd, Tarpon Springs – Opens at 10 a.m.
  • Wiregrass Mall: 28211 Paseo Drive, Wesley Chapel – Opens at 10 a.m.

Giving Back to First Responders

Local businesses are also stepping up to show appreciation for first responders.
