Ignyte started in 2012 in Dayton, Ohio, expanded to Tampa five years ago spearheaded by Gutwein. Unique to Ignyte is Gutwein and CEO Max Aulakh’s extensive government experience.
“We have great relationships with the U.S. government and leverage those to help us innovate and scale,” says Gutwein, who served nine years in the Middle East as a security specialist for the U.S. Air Force.
In June, Ignyte was approved for a five-year cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Air Force’s 67th Cyberspace Wing to commercialize its patented software. In 2020, Ignyte Institute, its training arm, partnered with Impact Washington, the go-to consulting agency for Washington state manufacturers, to help businesses manage the Defense Industrial Base’s compliance and cybersecurity obligations.
Notable recent recognition for Ignyte includes being named a finalist in the Business Intelligence Group’s 2021 Fortress Cyber Security Awards in the Software and Applications category and receiving the 2019 Cybersecurity Excellence Award for its Risk Management Cybersecurity Product. Also significant, Ignyte recently received its ISO 17020 and ISO 27001 certifications, automating the readiness process of the entire audit within its platform.
