Tampa International Airport
The Tampa International Airport unveiled half a dozen new pieces of public art that will soon be installed throughout the property, including a new signature sculpture by Matthew Mazzotta. Called “HOME,” the 21-foot pink flamingo will serve as the airport’s signature piece when it is installed in the main terminal in November.
Strategic Property Partners
Water Street Tampa developer Strategic Property Partners has opened a state-of-the-art marketing center in their newly renovated office at Sparkman Wharf. The centerpiece of the center is a 17-foot-wide, 3-D model of Downtown Tampa that shows Water Street Tampa at its completion. Projections on the model can show a wide variety of elements, from traffic patterns in the district to office occupancy, while surrounding video screens can show potential buyers the view from different floors of the project’s buildings.
Jacob Morgan Contracting
Jacob Morgan Contracting now offers remote kitchen and bathroom remodeling project estimates using photos of the space and a brief phone, email or text conversation with homeowners. Clients can then begin working with owner Jacob Crawford on product and design ideas, helping projects begin earlier and stay on track.
Cigar City Brewing
Two Tampa craft beer breweries were named to Ratebeer.com’s list of the best breweries in the world. Cigar City Brewing placed fifth on the list, while Angry Chair Brewing, located in Seminole Heights, ranked No. 78.
Marina Pointe
Construction began at the Westshore Marina District’s Marina Pointe luxury condominiums at the end of February. The project’s first tower will include 113 condos and seven townhomes, with the first move-ins expected in early 2021. Retail offerings in the district, including Duckweed Urban Grocery, DRNK coffee bar and QWENCH Juice Bar, are expected to begin opening in the first quarter of next year.
