Kōsen
Located in the vibrant Tampa Heights district, Kōsen, which translates to “ray of light,” illuminates the culinary scene under the visionary leadership of Executive Chef Wei Chen. With a culinary journey shaped by an apprenticeship under the esteemed Master Chef Masa Takayama at New York City’s revered 3-Michelin-starred Masa, Chef Chen brings a wealth of expertise and innovation to our establishment.
A two-concept spot, MICHELIN recommends a focus on the omakase with over 20 courses including lobster with peas, fava and dashi or wagyu with black garlic miso. The Pearl (Photo featured at top)
The Pearl’s only Florida location, this Water Street establishment combines a restaurant, tavern and oyster room all under one roof. Guests can savor made-from-scratch entrees such as the pork piri piri or the pineapple-marinated hanger steak after one-of-a-kind appetizers like the jaleneño corn spoon bread or the Thai curry mussels.
Noteworthy according to MICHELIN are the fried pickles served with a creamy dipping sauce, as well as the indulgent seafood tower, both considered must-tries. However, it’s the pie-only dessert menu, meticulously crafted by the in-house pastry chef, that steals the show and is an absolute must for a sweet finale to your dining experience.
