Brought to you by GOGO Charters

Got a group headed to Tampa, Florida? There are plenty of places to visit, whether you’re in the mood to soak up some sun or you need to get out of the heat for a little bit. But, if you need to organize rides for multiple people, the logistics can quickly put a damper on the fun parts of your trip. Who will volunteer their car? Who’s going to drive the first shift? How will we keep the kids entertained on the road?

At GOGO Charters, we specialize in making group transportation fun, safe, comfortable, and free of stress for all types of groups. We work with a nationwide network of charter bus providers to bring group rides to families, schools, businesses, and more in Tampa–so the next time you need to organize a group charter bus rental, you can count on us to find exactly what you need to get around.

Our Favorite Group Activities in Tampa

Here are some of our favorite places to visit in the city, all of which are friendly to large groups:

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

This classic Tampa theme park is more than just thrill rides. It’s also one of America’s largest zoo institutions, housing over 2,700 animals. But there are plenty of thrills to be had; the park’s floorless coaster, SheiKra, plunges guests at a 90-degree angle from 200 feet in the sky–and was the first ride of its kind at its 2005 opening. Besides rides, the park also has animal encounters and plenty of kid-friendly attractions and experiences!

Bus tip: Once you’ve paid your group admission, your charter bus will be able to park for free at Busch Gardens. After a day of thrills, screams, and walking through the park, you can settle in for a nap in your bus’s comfy reclining seats while your driver takes the wheel.

ZooTampa at Lowry Park

ZooTampa is home to more than 1,300 animals from all over the world. At the park, groups can check out giraffes, meerkats, storks, tortoises, skunks, alligators, tapirs, and much more across family-friendly themed exhibits that showcase each species’ natural habitat. Aside from its exhibits, the zoo also offers educational resources outlining the types of animals they house and their conservation efforts.

Bus tip: ZooTampa offers free parking, but their lot is not quite as friendly to large buses as other lots. Your bus driver can drop your group off at the entrance and return to pick you up when you’re ready to wrap up your adventure.

Museum of Science and Industry

The MOSI offers educational opportunities for students of all ages, ranging from pre-k to high-school seniors. Visitors can explore the inner workings of the human body’s systems, a simulated moonbase showing how the moon could support human life, and the Saunders Planetarium for a tour of the night sky, among other exciting exhibits.

Bus tip: If you’re booking with GOGO Charters for a field trip to the MOSI, you and parents of your students can rest assured that every bus in our network is in line with high safety and maintenance standards.

Tampa Museum of Art

The Tampa Museum of Art, a work of art in and of itself, showcases Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiques alongside modern and contemporary art across its two floors of exhibit space. The museum even hosts events like summer art camps, musical events, and special exhibitions.

Bus tip: Start or finish your Tampa Museum of Art tour with a walk down the Riverwalk or a picnic in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. No matter what you choose, your bus will be there to pick you up and drive you to your next stop according to your custom schedule.

The Florida Aquarium

The Florida Aquarium details the journey of a single drop of freshwater on its way through Florida’s freshwater springs, wetlands, and beaches and out to the Gulf of Mexico. On the way, visitors get to explore more than 7,000 aquatic plants and animals, a simulated beach, and even a coral reef community (which echoes the aquarium’s efforts to restore Florida’s natural coral reefs).

Bus tip: Whether you want to do some pre-visit research or learn more about the species you just saw at the aquarium, you can research to your heart’s content via your bus’s onboard WiFi.

What types of buses can I book in Tampa?

When you book with GOGO Charters, you can choose from a variety of bus types, including compact minibuses for small families and full-size coaches for teams or event guests. The GOGO Charters team is available 24/7 to answer any questions about Tampa charter bus prices and to help you find the best bus option for your group.
