The mother-daughter duo that owns the new South Tampa swimwear boutique The Cabana South has a goal: to create a retail space totally unique to the Tampa area. “I wanted to create a space where women can come in and try on as many suits as they want and find the perfect style for them without the hassle of returns or trying to figure it out online,” says co-owner Gianna Accardi. Growing up in Tampa, fashion was always a major part of her life.
“My mom and [store] co-owner Danielle Accardi was my inspiration growing up and fueled my love for fashion,” she adds. Today, The Cabana South carries stylish and chic swimsuits from brands like Vitamin A and Onia that look just as good on Instagram as they do by the pool. The store has proven successful so far, she says. “We have customers that walk into the store and say to us, ‘Tampa needed a store like this!’ Hearing that brings me so much joy, knowing I have created a shopping destination.”
