Finding time to relax and unwind is difficult enough, but finding a place for it? Forget it. Luckily, many businesses in South Tampa offer classes that designate a time and space for just that. Meditation and yoga sessions in gyms and studios provide a chance for students to improve their strength and balance and relieve stress. Though some poses may be a bit of a stretch, anyone — from beginners to yogis — can find the perfect session.

Curtis Hixon Park

Every Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m., yoga instructors from Yoga Downtown Tampa hold a weekly “Yoga in the Park” session. People of all experience levels are invited to fill the terraces of the waterfront park. These sessions have been occurring since 2010 and are free to the public.
